Empowering Women Who Run:
Capacity-building Workshops for
Women in Politics
About the Workshops
The in-person capacity-building workshops are part of CIWiL’s Virtual Training for Women Electoral Candidates Programme designed to empower women with the knowledge, skills and confidence to successfully engage in electoral processes and exercise effective, gender-responsive political leadership.
The workshops will reinforce key learning and development areas including good governance and transformational leadership. They will facilitate critical reflection on lessons from political campaigns around the region as well as discussion on strategies for collaborating across parties to advance gender equality. The workshop also serves as a space for networking and building allies and partnerships.
Who can attend?

- Any woman actively involved or interested in entering into political leadership at the central or local government levels.
