The Caribbean Women in Leadership (CIWiL) in support of the Spotlight Initiative Jamaica hosted the Media Forum: Utilizing Social Media as a Tool in Preventing VAWG in Jamaica on Wednesday 21st September 2022.
The forum facilitated a conversation that interrogated the prevalent social and cultural attitudes towards gender roles, acceptance of unequal gender power relations and the normalisation of VAWG by men and women. It featured leading voices in Jamaica such as moderator, Dr Terri-Karelle Reid, and panelists, Carla Moore, Dr Nadeen Spence and Rushane Campbell.
