Summary:

Gender in the Caribbean has been shaped by the region’s history but it has also been impacted by the region’s cultural diversity. Despite, the plurality and diverse nature of the region gender is misidentified and the concept is often misunderstood. This session was designed to facilitate discussions surrounding and providing factual information to participants to better understand:

  1. The concept and dimensions of gender.
  2. How gender impacts society and social constructs?
  3. How gender impacts leadership?
