This virtual discussion is the first in a series of activities by CIWiL in commemoration of International Women’s Day 2021.
This year the global theme for International Women’s Day is “Women in leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world.” Similarly, the priority theme for this year’s Commission on the Status of Women 65 (CSW 65) meeting is “Women’s full and effective participation and decision-making in public life, as well as the elimination of violence, for achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls”
With a global focus on Women in Leadership, it is an opportune time for CIWiL to facilitate discussions on women’s leadership in the region.
